As a consumer, I am well aware of the challenges health conscious individuals face. Therefore, I have made it my mission to sift through the hundreds of products masquerading as “health food” in an effort to find and share with you those products worthy of being called “healthy”.My latest Internet treasure hunt led me to discover Quest Protein Bars, the only protein bars I am confident to call “The Healthiest Protein Bars” on the market today.
Why Quest Protein Bars Are The Healthy Alternative
Though all protein bars claim to be healthy, a conscious walk-through of the ‘weight loss supplements’ aisle of any given grocery store reveals the fact that most nutrition bars, often also referred to as health bars, meal replacement bars, protein bars, or bodybuilding protein bars, are nothing more than loosely disguised candy bars containing such unwholesome ingredients as high fructose corn syrup, high maltose corn syrup, sugar alcohols and canola oil. Worst of all is the fact that a large number of protein bar manufacturers use the ingredient Hydrolyzed Collagen “Gelatin” which has not been proven to have a positive effect on muscle growth. This ingredient is mainly used to inflate the overall protein count of these bars and trick consumers into thinking they are purchasing a truly high protein nutrition bar.

Quest protein bars are unlike other brands on the market in that they have:
- No soy, gelatin, or cheap proteins
- No trans fats
- No sugar
- No sugar alcohols
Quest protein bars are the only low carb, high fiber nutrition bars featuring such wholesome ingredients as:
- Whey and milk protein for optimal muscle growth
- Chicory root fiber is a natural ingredient also used in FiberOne cereals to increase the fiber content of foods without boosting carb counts
- Lo Han Guo (my favorite ingredient) is a sweet fruit primarily grown in southern China and is often thought of as a longevity aid since an unusually high number of the inhabitants of southern China, who include this fruit in their diets, habitually live past the age of 100
The protein bars come into distinct flavors: Vanilla Almond Crunch and Peanut Butter Supreme. While both are flavorful and don’t leave any sort of aftertaste, I tend to favor the Peanut Butter Supreme due to its crunchy, yet smooth texture and authentic peanut butter flavor.
Who Uses Quest Protein Bars
Though Quest protein bars are designed to provide optimal nutrition to people of all walks of life (kids, expectant mothers, dieters, diabetics, triathletes and bodybuilders) the fact that such prominent athletes as Shannan Yorton, a national level figure competitor, and Chester Yorton, best known as ‘The Father of Natural Bodybuilding’, have chosen to make these bars a part of their rigorous training plans speaks volumes about the nutritional quality, effectiveness and taste of these low carb protein bars.
The makers of Quest protein bars are so confident in the fact that their use of wholesome and nutritious ingredients has led them to make the most nutritionally balanced and delicious protein bars on the market today that they are willing to let you order a single bar, with no obligation to purchase more, so that you can try this amazing product for yourself.

I can't thank you enough for this review. I'm not exaggerating when I say you changed my life and the life of my entire family.
Five of us have been low carbbing for years and we haven't been able to eat any protein bars because of the sugar, sugar alcohols and other junk.
We ordered the Quest bars and were delighted. That's saying a lot because all five of us agreed that they tasted amazing and we never agree on anything. How they can make it taste so good without any bad ingredients while all of the other bars taste "funny" is beyond me.
Thanks again for the great review!
Hey Tad, I completely agree with you. I found Quest bars on a Body Building.com forum, and didn't beleive what was being said about them so I decided to try for one for myself. I had given up on bars years ago for the same reasons that you mention (low carb diet), and was really surprised at not only how delicious they are but they're truly low carb and low sugar with real whey protein.
An amazing find!
