  • 1/2 cup plain oatmeal

  • 2 cups unsweetened Soy milk or chocolate skim milk
  • 1/2 cup fat free Half and Half
  • 1 tbsp Nutella
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup raw, shelled Hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup plain granola
  • 1/2 cup plain oatmeal
  • Ice
  • Place all ingredients in a large blender and blend until smooth
  • Makes 3-4 servings (Breakfast for the entire family)

High Protein Strawberry Banana Tofu Delight Smoothie Recipe

  • 9 oz firm tofu
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 1/2 cup raw, shelled hemp seeds
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Lots of ice

This smoothie is the perfect breakfast smoothie since it is light in calories but high in the protein your body needs to feel full and prevent junk food cravings in the late afternoon.

    I agreed with this list until I read Nutella. How can you claim that is a healthy smoothie ingredient when the sugar content is so high?

      Yes the sugar content of Nutella is high. But, if putting a little Nutella, which has no artificial ingredients, colors or preservatives, in your breakfast smoothie will help stop your sweets cravings for the rest of the day it’s worth a try. This is definitely a case of “all things in moderation”.

    My concern is with agave syrup. It is just as processed and refined as high fructose corn syrup. Simply coming from a desert plant does not make it healthy. Raw honey is the only genuinely okay sweetener you can add.
