I love this smoothie recipe! It’s refreshing, nutritious and high in protein. But, the best thing about this smoothie is that it has just enough carbohydrates to give me a real boost of energy in the mornings when I drink it as a meal replacement for my breakfast.

Though at first glance the calorie content of this smoothie appear to be high keep in mind that it also contains over 30g of protein per serving. If you wish to reduce the number of calories in this smoothie you can simply omit the protein powder or use a low-calorie protein powder such as Muscle Milk Light.
