Hello and thank you for visiting The Underground Bootcamp.
My name is Paulin Soleyman and I am a certified personal trainer. Currently, I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband and two year old Yorkie, Freddie.
Often people ask me, “Why did you choose to become a personal trainer?” I chose to become a personal trainer because I was not always fit and healthy. In fact, I have struggled with my weight all of my life and understand how hard it is to not just become fit and healthy but to also stay fit and healthy.
Furthermore, diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol and obesity have had a devastating effect on my family. So, throughout the years, as I learned to get my own weight, and consequently health, under control I decided to make it my mission to help others out there do the same. The purpose of this website is to guide my readers towards finding effective ways of incorporating a healthy diet and fitness routine into their everyday lives.
That is why I chose the slogan: “healthy living for the rest of us” to represent The Underground Bootcamp.
What does this slogan mean? Well, first consider the notion that in our society we have come to associate the concepts of “healthy”, “fit”, “active” and “athletic” with the words young, thin, strong and single. The Underground Bootcamp strives to change this belief and teach everyday people, who may no longer be young, thin, strong or single how to take back control of their well-being and become healthy, fit, active and athletic.
